At Leilany Nursery School we believe that children learn best by being active participants in their own learning process. Our teachers guide them and allow them to learn about the world through their own experiences with other people, objects, events and knowledge presented by teachers in a previously planned manner to ensure a safe and reliable learning environment.
Our program prepares preschool children to be successful in school and in life. Our purpose is to offer them the tools necessary to be active participants in our community, and in our society as a whole.
Our classrooms are organized in a consistent manner. We arrange areas and materials according to different interests; for example, we offer the blocks and manipulative area, the house area, reading area, writing area, computer area, listening and music area, arts and crafts area, and math and science area.
Our daily routine includes circle time, small and large group activities, individual and group play, socialization, story time, clean up time, self-care and hygiene training, nap time, mealtime service, and outdoor play.
The results of our former students demonstrate year after year that our preschoolers graduate from our program ready to succeed.
